Year 12 Transition

If you came to our Induction Day on 2nd July we hope you had an enjoyable day, meeting new people and getting a feel for Sixth Form life at LGGS.

If you were not able to be with us on that day, do not worry: all the information that you need can be found here. Please make sure that you take time to familiarise yourself with all of the information below, in particular the Summer Work and the procedure for enrolling on GCSE Results Day.

Our enrolment deadline is 12.00 noon on Thursday 22nd August.

You will need to complete Summer Work for each of the subjects you have chosen to study at A Level, ths is to help ease the transition to A level study and should help you to feel that you have chosen the right A Level subjects. You will find the Summer Work for all subjects at the bottom of this page.

Key Messages from Induction Day

The Start of September

Term starts on Tuesday 3rd September at 8.40. We will let you know by email, after you have enrolled, where you should come on that day

On the first day students should bring: A4 lined paper, a ring binder, file dividers, an academic diary or planner and basic stationery. Students may bring a tablet or laptop if they wish, but this is not expected.

Y12 students may go into town at lunchtime if they wish to, but many students bring packed lunches or take advantage of the great food that our new caterers are providing in the Dining Room. The Dining Room is also open to Sixth Form students thoughout the morning if they are not in lessons.
