Last week our Year 7 students went on an English trip to the Lowry in Manchester to watch The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. They had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was a great way to bring literacy to life and a great opportunity for our Year 7 students to spend time together outside of the classroom.
Isabel: Our trip to the Lowry Theatre in Manchester was a really thrilling experience. The actors, costume designs, set design and choreography made the overall spirit of the show phenomenal. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was a mirror image of the original C.S. Lewis novel, but the live musicians were a real addition to the mythial atmosphere of Narnia. I would recommend this to anyone with a magical eye!
Evelyn: I really liked the play. The live band was really good and made it really interesting. The costumes made it realistic to the time the play is set in but also giving it a small modern twist! The actors were really good at staying in character and showing physical emotion when needed. My favourite character was Lucy because I think she is really curious . I loved it!
