First LGGS Student to Receive Cadet Promotion

Many congratulations to Holly for her recent promotion to Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major (Cdt RSM)

Holly is the first female and LGGS cadet in the history of the joint CCF Army to be awarded RSM and her promotion is the culmination of five years of hard work, resilience and determination. From the moment she joined the CCF in Year 9 her personal qualities became apparent, making her a very popular choice amongst the staff training team as well as the cadets, from this year’s very impressive cohort of senior cadets.

The Army Cadet training programme, often of a challenging and exciting nature, aims to foster confidence, self-reliance, initiative, loyalty, and a sense of service to other people. Holly is a shining example of this, fully embodying the motto of the cadet force ‘To Inspire to Achieve’.
