RAF cadets from Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School (LGGS) and Lancaster Royal Grammar School (LRGS) achieved an impressive third place in the Regional Competition. Their outstanding result placed them just three marks behind second place, highlighting the exceptional standard of their performance.
The mixed team, which included several cadets who only joined earlier this academic year, demonstrated remarkable commitment and enthusiasm throughout their preparation. Many Sunday afternoons were devoted to training sessions to refine their drill sequence, alongside learning new material for the Space and Cyber sections both new additions to the competition this year.

Cadet Reflections
Cdt Turtle, who took part in the Shooting section, shared:
“We lay down and shot at targets 2–3 metres away with a rifle. It was an extremely fun section to choose! I’m very happy that I've learnt this new skill.”
Sergeant Corvi, who led the command task, added:
“I really enjoyed leading the command task, and it felt so good to win it with the team! I couldn't have done it without the amazing teaching and every amazing team member. I feel like we all gelled together so well and worked so well together to produce an amazing result!”
