German Exchange 2025

My experience on the German Exchange was extremely positive, from my host family to the schooll. My host family was incredibly nice, and many people I asked had very similar experiences to me.

The journey to school was quite long, but my partner was very organised and helped me communicate. My host family encouraged me to speak in German with them, encouraging gentle corrections and a lot of laughing.

I became really good friends with my partner; we still talk daily and we did loads of activities together like watching films and going to Christmas markets together.

School was exciting, a new day: new sights and new experiences. We did so many things over the week with school, a forest walk to a café for waffles, a photo challenge in Cologne and we also went up the tower in Cologne Cathedral!

I can’t wait for my partner to come and visit me in April!
