The French Exchange is an incredible opportunity to develop your French language and immerse yourself in the French culture. It gives a chance for students to experience French life in a French household, and this can help bring an influence to include in your GCSEs.
This year, we improved our French, while also enjoying French cuisine and lifestyle. It is a chance to visit important French monuments and museums, including The Resistance Museum and Musée de Beaux Arts, which helps develop your knowledge of French culture.
We visited French supermarkets, the city of Lyon, Bourg-en-Bresse and Pérouges. We experienced French school; we were in our partners lessons and given a tour of the school.
At the weekend, Evie’s French exchange family took her to the light show in Lyon and a group of us went bowling and to the Christmas markets. Isabelle’s French exchange family took her to a shopping centre, and the light show in a park in Lyon as well as a supermarket. Charlotte’s French exchange family took her took Lyon and we went as a group bowling and to the Christmas markets.
We really enjoyed the experience and getting to know our partners and are very excited to welcome them to England in March!
Evie, Isabelle and Charlotte.
