Academic and Pastoral Support
The Sixth Form team pride themselves on the high level of personalised support that they provide to all Year 12 and 13 students.

The door to the Sixth Form office is always open and someone is always on hand to provide advice and guidance. For pastoral issues, you should talk in the first instance to your Head of Year or to Ms Kirkman. The Assistant to the Heads of Sixth Form, Mrs Stables, will also help you with any day-to-day issues when the Heads of Year are teaching. She is based in the Sixth Form office.

Ms Dobson is available to discuss any academic concerns that you may have, as well as providing further pastoral support, working alongside with the Heads of Year.

If you feel that you would like support with more personal issues then please speak to Ms Whitehouse, Miss Allen, Miss Kirkman or Ms Dobson, and they will help you to work out the most appropriate source of support. We do have trained counsellors in school who are available to support students in the Sixth Form so please do let us know if you feel you would benefit from this.

We encourage parents and carers to be in touch with a member of the Sixth Form team if they have any concerns about a student, whether this be academic or pastoral. Members of the Sixth Form Team will always make time to talk to students and/or parents and carers: student well-being underpins all of our work in the Sixth Form.
