Lancaster Girls' Grammar School's Governing Body is made up of the following members, who bring considerable expertise and knowledge to the governance of the school.
The committees meet at least termly, and there are six full Governing Body Meetings each academic year.

ALINA KING I am an ‘old girl’ of LGGS, and both my daughters now attend the school. I currently work for BAE Systems as a Head Of Human Resources, having worked in a number of industries in HR/Employee Relations roles. I did my undergraduate degree at Newcastle University, and have subsequently undertaken postgraduate qualifications in HR, and a Masters degree in Industrial Relations and Employment Law. |

SARAH SHEPHERD Member of the Academic CommitteeI graduated from St. Martin's College, Lancaster in 2000 with a BA in Primary Education with QTS. Since then I have been working in primary education, as a classroom teacher, deputy head and more recently a teacher educator. I completed my Masters Degree from UCL in Education and International Development. Currently, I am a lecturer of Education at the University of Cumbria where I teach on the undergraduate and postgraduate primary teaching degrees. |
