The Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School pupils have donated £1000 to the North West Air Ambulance, one of the local charities that they have chosen to support for 2011 - 2012.

This donation comes just in time to kick start the launch of a new campaign. The public are invited to “Go Yellow” part of 'National Air Ambulance Week' (26th September to 2nd October) to help raise much needed funds to keep their two aircraft flying.

A Roberts, a pupil at school made the presentation on behalf of the committee. The charity is close to her heart as last year she was transported in the Air ambulance to hospital after being involved in a serious accident. A Roberts and her mother Rose are now spearheading fundraising initiatives and raising the profile of this worthwhile organisation.  Their latest fundraising event is a Talent show at: Wray Institute on Friday 7th October at 6.30pm.
