Citizenship - Be SHARP Think SHARP
The Be SHARP, Think SHARP presentation team visited LGGS recently and gave
presentations to Years 8-13 on the issue of knife crime.This knife crime initiative is a
joint presentation between Lancashire Constabulary and the North West Ambulance Service and aims to give children informed choice, life skills & personal safety advice regarding the illegal carrying of knives from a policing and health perspective in the hope of educating the participants. Engineering Education Scheme
A team of Year 12 pupils took part in the Engineering Education Scheme, they had to design and manufacture an automatically elevated easel for students at Beaumont College with cerebral palsy. Read more

Readathon Results
This year’s ‘Readathon’ was launched on ‘World Book Day’; 5th March, 2009.
For two weeks pupils were sponsored to read as many books as possible.
Some reached over 30 texts and £742 was raised for charity. Read more
