Assessment Every theoretical topic is assessed by means of an end of topic tests in which progress is monitored and underachievement identified. Target setting is implemented to ensure your daughter is on track to achieve or exceed her target grade. In year 10 students will sit an end of year exam and in year 11 they will sit a GCSE mock examination.
Homework Coursework is ongoing homework in ICT and it is expected that students are continually working independently on their coursework from the moment it is set.
Past examination paper questions are regularly studied to allow your daughter to develop her exam technique and to ensure that she knows what to expect. These are marked using official mark schemes and feedback is given on how to improve.
Textbooks Students are given all of the textbooks they will need and are expected to bring them to every lesson. They will also be encouraged to purchase a revision guide.
