We would like to congratulate our 2010
A level students on their excellent results. 

These outstanding achievements reflect the hard work and commitment of the students, the support from their families and the dedication of LGGS staff.  143 students sat A level examinations this year and our overall pass rate is 100%.
The percentage of
A*- B grades is a very pleasing 76.5%. 
42 girls achieved at least
3 A levels at Grade A or A*.  15% of grades were the new A* grade with particularly high numbers of students achieving these grades in Maths, the Sciences and English Literature.

35 students gained at least one of their A levels at Grade A * with a further 58 students gaining at least one of their A levels at Grade A standard.
In addition to achieving academic success, this year group also participated actively in many extracurricular opportunities and contributed greatly to school life. Thirty six students were awarded the AQA Baccalaureate which recognises both academic achievements and enrichment activities, with seventeen students gaining a distinction. More than a third of the year group also opted to complete an Extended Project Qualification which is equivalent to half an A level and involves the student undertaking independent research.

While recognising the achievements of all students, I would like to mention a number of outstanding results.
