There is a general decline in the number of students choosing to study Science across most countries of the European Union. This group of schools, which have strong Science Departments and which have maintained good student numbers in the sciences, have worked together to learn more about how this is achieved in each country and to share best practice.
In each school students and teachers have produced units consisting of materials and resources on a topic they feel has particular relevance to their situation or in which they have a particular interest or expertise.
To share the ideas and continue the evaluation, students and

staff delivered part of their unit to the other students and staff
at the project meetings. They have experienced a range of teaching styles and strategies designed to promote learning.
The following pages contain the resources produced and the results of the evaluations which were undertaken.
