Careers Department

The Careers Education and Guidance programme at LGGS aims to help students develop the skills and confidence to make realistic and informed decisions about their futures for themselves, and to manage the transitions from one stage of their education and training and to work to the next.
It aims to help students develop self knowledge and knowledge and understanding of learning and work, in the context of other aspects of life and society.  Careers education and guidance is a continuous process, which is delivered in a variety of contexts to all students from Years 7 to 13.  It is embedded in the curriculum in Years 7 and 8, is taught as a unit in Year 9, is taught by the Careers Co-ordinator in Years 10 and 11 and as part
of the General Studies/Tutorial programme in
Years 12 and 13.
