been greater than at the present time. Our pupil’s results at Advanced level are among the
best in the country. Most of our pupils gain access to their universities and courses of first choice including Oxford, Cambridge, and other top universities.

Biology is offered at both AS and A2 Level.  An A Level in Biological Science is considered highly desirable as an entry qualification for the professions of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Veterinary science; it also provides a relevant foundation for higher study in a number of popular disciplines which include: Physiotherapy, Nursing, Microbiology, Brewing, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Nutritionist, Speech Therapy, Osteopathy, Radiography, Psychology and Molecular Biology.

AS Level Biological Science, when studied in combination with complementary subjects, is a valuable supporting qualification for entry into Medical or Scientific courses with an applied or therapeutic focus.  These include Veterinary Nursing, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Dietetics, Forensic Science and Laboratory Technician.  Biologists are also to be found working in a wide range
of unrelated fields such as Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, NHS Management and RAF Pilot.  As a professor
