In the curriculum area, we aim to create an effective and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable in approaching new and challenging concepts within a supportive environment. This allows all students, whatever their sporting ability, to be challenged according to their level and to in turn develop their own self-confidence.

Pupils are encouraged to further their interest in sport at the vast range of clubs held at lunchtimes or after school. These clubs are open to all pupils. Many of our students have gone on to represent the district, county and compete in National competitions in various sports. Throughout the year the school offers inter-house, inter-year, intra-school and inter-school competition.
We are part of the Lancaster Schools Sport Partnership and thus, are looking forward to the benefits such partnerships can bring, such as aiming for a minimum 2 hours high quality
PE and School sports for all, increasing participation in high quality out of hours activity, increased opportunities for leadership development and furthering links with local clubs
