Welcome to Aalborg!

I’m honoured to have spent my last year as House Captain for Aalborg. I would like to congratulate every member of Aalborg that has participated in House events, raised money for charity and helped make our school year as memorable as it has been. Houses play a huge role in our LGGS community, creating a family environment which includes all year groups. After our hard work spent charity fundraising for St John's Hospice, winning the Rose Bowl was a huge achievement and I am proud to say Aalborg truly deserved it. The upcoming Performing Arts Festival looks to be another of our successes, and is a great way for sixth formers to engage with the lower years, and for girls to demonstrate and develop their performing talents. Sports Day and Inter-house sport events also encourage our House spirit and teamwork. Music Festival for Aalborg is always an exciting and rewarding event as it showcases the musical talent we are lucky enough to have, and celebrates how special and unique LGGS life is here. These events and the healthy competition that accompanies them encourage the girls to show our House colours with pride, and gives them an opportunity to participate in many events and make new friends. I am so grateful to have been part of Aalborg for 7 years, and I wish all our new girls the best of luck in the blue house- enjoy every moment.

Sophie Bodenham Captain of Aalborg House
